Jean Barbara, Plenary Speaker

Jean Barbara comes to us from the People of God community in Beirut, Lebanon and is the President of the Sword of the Spirit—the parent organization of Kairos.

Jean is very active in doing mission in the Middle East. Having established a University Christian Outreach (UCO) in Lebanon and later a high school Youth Outreach, he is now working to develop new UCO chapters and communities in Syria, Turkey, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait, and the Holy Land, and elsewhere in and around the Middle East.

Jean holds an MBA from the American University of Beirut, and is currently a Tax Advisor (part-time) in his own company. He has served in many leadership positions within his own community and the Sword of the Spirit abroad, including as Senior Coordinator of the People of God community, and President of the European and Middle East Region of the Sword of the Spirit.

Jean is happily married to Marie-Therese Barbara and they have four children: Victor, 22.5; Nicole, 21, Peter, 20, and Philip, 8.
